Following filming part of Wavelength Europe in Kaunas, Lithuania I was invited back by Silainiai Project to spend four weeks creating art with the neighbours of Silainiai Microdistrict.

Wavelength Kiemų Jungtys connects three neighbouring squares. We mapped out a walk through the neighbourhood and paved it with supportive window messages, portraits of residents and waves greeting fellow neighbours and passers-by. The portraits came alive by connecting the outdoor-images to the waving videos via QR codes.

With Covid-19 restrictions in place we made work that enabled neighbours and residents to communicate and support each other beyond digital means, at a distance and in public.
