Welcome the magic world of waving!

Wavelength is a joyful public art action and film nurturing solidarity, dialogue and connection through a simple yet powerful gesture, the wave.  It’s a celebration of our shared humanity reaching across borders, status, politics and cultures.

Community participation and creating work in public spaces underpin the making and presentation of Wavelength. Both cultivate dynamic and fun shared experiences igniting curiosity and interaction bringing people together in the creation of a powerful artwork.

The act of waving is a highly effective superpower, magically creating a moment of intimacy at a distance, even between strangers. Waving originated as a signal to others that we come in peace.

An interview by videographer Uffe Birk:

Wavelength films are shown in public spaces as large scale projections, multi-screen installations, community screenings and art-festivals and most recently on the magical Wavemobile.

Wavelength is a response to the growing disconnect felt between generations, communities and nations. It’s an antidote to the devastating harm that divisive and populist narratives are causing to social cohesion, locally and worldwide.
